This site exists
as the companion to a mailing list on Yahoo Groups where mastiff breeders
and lovers have been brought together because of their shared love of
mastiffs that exhibit true breed type. Typey Mastiffs exists for breeders
to share ideas and thoughts on type as it relates to the breed all over
the world. This web site aims to function as an educational supplement
to the list, where true type can be exhibited and interpretations of the
various breed standards can be discussed with visual aids. Also, it may
serve to educate those new to the breed who are interested in learning
more about what a mastiff should look like. Finally, the site may be used
as a tool to help breeders looking to maintain or improve type in their
lines by giving them easy access to information about breeders from all
over the world who are committed to retaining true breed type in their
lines.
